Princess Margaret Group Three

                                                  Princess Margaret Group Three

Accipter- Was a rare winning debutant for Chris Wall when she belied odds of 33/1 at Kempton in beating subsequent winner Panda Spirit. She then stepped up in class when finishing 5th in a muddling listed contest at Newmarket, before bouncing back when winning a novices stakes at Chepstow over five furlongs last time. The runner up that day has won a nursery off 86 since and she has to be respected

Explosive Lady- The first winner for Alfred Nobel when hacking up in a Nottingham maiden. That was a fine introduction and the trainer is having a strong season with his two year olds. But will still  need to step up a chunk if she is too take this

Goldcrest- From a fast family and put herself forward as a useful type when besting a good yardstick when cruising in at Newbury on her second start. Was very well backed that day and her trainer is having a stellar season with his juveniles. In a race that lacks depth she is a place contender

Muraaqaba- From a fantastic family and looked a filly to follow herself when winning a Newmarket maiden by over 3 lengths on her only start to date. She was extremely professional that day but still should improve for the experience. If she does, she rates the one to beat for her in form trainer

Osaila- The form pick having followed up her 5th in the Albany with a facile victory in a Doncaster novice stakes on her last start. The runner up that day is a useful sort and she needs to be taken very seriously

Pastoral Girl- Bred to be speedy and showed promise when finishing 6 lengths down to useful types on her first two starts. On the back of those displays she went off odds on last time when finishing behind Mary McPhee who was outclassed at listed level on Thursday and looks to have to all to do

Rosies Premiere- 55k Showcasing filly who has shown useful form on her three starts to date. Likely she ran into a very promising type at Chester last time and with Hughes up could outrun her likely odds. However it is still difficult to see her being good enough to take the top prize

Tongue Twista- Two race maiden but showed useful form when beaten less than 5 lengths in the Cherry Hinton on her last start. That was a strange race and she is very likely to have been flattered by her proximity to the winner that day. Her trainer averages less than one 2yo winner a season and he is unlikely to add to that record here

Verdict- Not a great race for the grade and the filly who appeals as having the most potential is Muraaqaba. She is a half sister to three horses who achieved a 100 OR and she appeals as a type who could reach that level based on her debut win. Osaila ran with immense credit at Royal Ascot and followed that up with an impressive win in a small field Novice Stakes last time and she rates as the main danger. Of the rest Accipter appeals most and may be a touch overpriced due to her low key connections with Goldcrest another place contender

1 Muraaqba
2 Osaila
3 Accipter
